Welcome to NSW Chapter

Harley-ZukermanTo be involved in the continuing education of apprentices and young chefs by holding Master Classes every year.

To endorse, support, encourage and advise the continuing education of Australian teams and individuals who wish to compete in recognised national and overseas culinary competitions.

To maintain a high level of WACS accredited judges, particularly at our state level.

To encourage pride and comradeship among our members.

To work closely with other culinary organizations.

 

Mission statement

The World Association of Chefs Societies, or WACS in short, is a global network of chefs associations first founded in October 1928 at the Sorbonne in Paris. At that first congress there were 65 delegates from 17 countries, representing 36 national and international associations, and the venerable August Escoffier was named the first Honourary President of WACS.

The Australian Culinary Federation is the national organization representing profesional chefs, cooks and apprentices.

ANAPHYLAZXIS MASTER CLASS.


On Monday 2nd August, a Master Class to make our members aware of Anaphylaxis (severe food allergy)  was held at Ultimo TAFE, about 30 people attended this very informative evening conducted by Maria Said.
Maria Said has been a member of Anaphylaxis Australia Inc since 1993. Her interest evolved when her second child was diagnosed with a potentially life threatening food allergy. She became National President of the organisation in 2000 and continues to hold this title.
