Harley Zukerman

President ACF NSW :: Vice President ACF National

He became a founding Director of Sydney Chefs Association in 1993 and was instrumental in the amalgamation with the Australian Culinary Federation NSW in 1999, of which he is now President.

Michael Mason :: Treasurer

He left England in 1972 to expand his knowledge in the culinary field. He has worked for Princess Hotel's in Bermuda, Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal, Canada, and worked for five years in New York, USA prior to coming to Australia in 1980.

 

Colin Stewart (aka Jock) :: Secretary / Vice President

Born in Scotland, Jock has been in the industry for over 40 years. Serving in the British Army for 11 years including a stint in the Middle East where he cooked for the Sheik of Bahrain in 1967.

 

Kurt Von Buren :: Chairman of Judges

We are lucky to have Kurt with us at ACF and he throws himself into Salons, meetings and events whenever he is needed. Traditionally trained, creative personality enabling him to conceive menus to showcase cuisine 'as it could be' as well.

Richard McDermott :: Registrar

After spending his formative, culinary years in London's grand hotels Richard came to Australia for a visit and stayed. He is currently employed by TAFE as a teacher and Operations Manager where his food knowledge and organizational skills make him a valued member of the team.

Zigi Ozeri :: Web Master Director

Zigi Ozeri is the chef / proprietor of ZCC Pty Ltd Personal Chef for Home Cooking Classes and Special Events, and an industry award winning chef, who has been working in the hospitality industry for over 10 years. His experience has included some of Sydney finest hotels .

Rod Quince :: Salon Director

I worked on my first Salon Culinaire in 1990 with Robert Rutishauser. Ever since I have worked as a Scrutineer, Registrar, Salon Director, Judge and Operations Manager.

Chris O'Brien :: Marketing & Sponsorship

Chris O’Brien left Canada travelling to Bermuda then onto New Zealand in ’87 well gaining a variety of experience in Restaurants, Hotels, Sporting Venues, Air-line Catering then on to Cruise Liners. Once the Executive Chef for the Radisson Hotel–Sydney, then the Director of F&B for the Chifley Hotel. Now Executive Recruitment Consultant for Spectrum-International Hospitality Services

Anne Hewitt :: Social Events

Ann has been of immense service by giving her time as our Social Director. This allows our chef board members to concentrate on the Cheffing and competition side of things.

Fran See :: Social Events

Fran has been working in all areas of the Hospitality Industry for the past 20 years. Her passion and commitment to the industry has seen her give support to wherever possible in assisting in the promotion of the industry.

Gordon Manuel :: Youth Director

South African Born, Gordon was a committee Member of the South African Chefs Association www.saca.co.za & eagerly participated in a variety of prestigious events including, “Nelson Mandela’s Mile Long Table” on Table Mountain, “Cape Food & Wine Festival” and has catered for many international dignitaries.

Scott Wilson :: Editor Chef to Chef Magazine

Scott has been a Commercial Cookery Teacher at East Sydney TAFE where his practical, down-to-earth manner and hands-on skills have been inspiring thousands of NSW cookery students (like me) to achieve and perform in their chosen trade.
